Malawi Day Camps & Moldovan Camps

June 28, 2014

We had a great week in Moldova this week. We ran three camp programs simultaneously. In the bigger central camp we had 211 campers this week and 195 accepted the Lord for salvation. Edward, our lead man there in Moldova, is becoming a very effective youth speaker. In the northern camp there were 109 campers for this first week of camp, and 61 professions of faith. Our day camps are running this year in western Moldova; in three villages this week 178 were present and 81 professed Christ.

Mihai is in charge a of day camps, working with six of our best students. They sleep in less than ideal circumstances and eat what is offered them, but they do it all for Jesus. On the way to one of their day camps this past week they passed three children standing on the road and invited them to the program. The children were unusually shy but accepted the invitation. So Madalina, Agnesia and Daniel attended both days of the camp. Daniel was very reluctant because he had a scar on his face due to an accident with a train were he was drug 300 meters. His sisters said

later he never leaves the yard because of his scar. However, on the last day all three children accepted the Lord as Savior. They had never heard the Gospel of Christ until our team came. On the last day their father came to pick them up and he also heard the Gospel and promised to read the Bible and think about this life giving message.

In Africa we had the first of our two day camp training sessions. We worked with four teams from the Zomba region. On the last day we gave them bikes and sent them in the field of souls to preach the Gospel and reap the harvest. Next week we repeat this training in the Lower Shire with four teams there. We are excited about what God will do in the next two months in Malawi. Pray for these efforts as we seek to win the lost and bring glory to God through the preaching of the Cross.

The value of all these works is eternal and must continue. Pray for the supply of the Lord and that God would sustain our workers. We still need money for campers in Moldova at $15 a week for each child to come to overnight camp.
God Bless,
