Dear Friends, January 22, 2025
We have been back in Malawi for a few weeks and the work for the next six weeks is in the planning stage.
1) Pray for our Malawian pastors as they gather for education and encouragement on February 11 to 20. The time will be divided between the Lower Shire and Zomba regions. For this initiative, two men from Massillon, Ohio, will come with our new missionary partner John-Mark Zeiger. We are expecting a great school for our pastors.
2) John-Mark will be staying to lead our school of discipleship this semester, and we are looking forward to his teaching our young men. The dates for this school are February 24 through March 21.
3) We are planning to run medical clinics again starting after these school sessions. Clinics should run March through mid-April. Each day of clinic costs us about $500, and we will be in 10 different locations. These clinics usually see an average of 250 people. If anyone has a heart for medical mission’s, please consider helping us with the clinics. Before the people see the doctors, they listen to the preaching of the Good News of Jesus Christ. Please pray that many will be saved during this time. We are in the process of renewing the mission permits for the clinics, so please pray we have success in this process.
4) Finally, Stephanie and I have tickets to go to Moldova and the Ukraine on April 14th. If the Russian-Ukrainian war is over by summer, we want to run camps for the children and teens of the western part of Ukraine. We believe there is potential for a great harvest of souls for the Lord in this war-torn area.
5) We will be back in Malawi for our Founder’s Conference the last two weeks of May. Our mission Vice-President Mike Rollwagen and his wife Susan will be joining us for that conference. Stephanie and Susan will be teaching mini conferences for women in the villages while we work with the men.
We are preaching and doing our best to reach Malawi. Our long-term goal is to train nationals to reach their own through the pastor’s schools and the schools of discipleship. Last year the nationals started 6 churches and saw over 5,000 saved. Most of this was done through our day camps, which we will continue this summer.
God bless and thank you for your support and prayers,
Eric Chapman D.D.
