Ukrainian Camps

Just a quick note about the camps in Ukraine. Last week we were working with a lot of unbelieving youth, and it was very challenging. However, out of over 90 in attendance about 60 youth responded in a positive way on Thursday evening and many made professions of faith in Christ. Thank you for your prayers. We were under-staffed, so many of our team pulled double duty as counselors and whatever else had to be done. It was worth all the hard work and sacrifice. 

This week we are doing a day camp an hour away from last week’s location. This town is closer to the war areas. The churches we are working in have seen bombings in their towns. We have about 70 youth participating in this day camp with a few van loads of children and teens coming from other villages that have seen bombings. Pray for the efforts in the day camp. This Saturday we will have an evangelization for the parents of the day camp participants and Sunday we’ll be in the host church. I’m preaching in both of these weekend events and need your prayers. We will return to Moldova on Sunday. 

Next week our team is off, and they then start 4 weeks of camp and day camps in the Transnistria region of Moldova. We’ll be working with churches I started in my first term as a missionary back in the 90’s. Some of the participants are the children and grandchildren of our early convert's. I’m very glad for that fact. Thank you for your support and prayers. We have received all the funds we needed for War Wives’ camp.
