Bible Student Testimonies

We thank those of you who support some of our Bible Institute students individually; we couldn’t do it without your help.

Below are testimonies from some of our students. I will be posting more throughout the semester.

Alex Corjov

I was born in Orhei, Moldova. My mother abandoned me when I was six years old, so I grew up in the orphanage. I grew up alone, which was difficult for me. Before I finished school I met with a wonderful Christian woman, Lilia (a teacher in the Bible Institute), who decided to take me every weekend to her home, and I liked that very much. Every Sunday we went to church, but I wasn’t interested in God. After I finished school I stopped going to church and stopped speaking with sister Lilia. I started to work and thought: I have money and I don’t need anybody, I was very proud. After two years of work I had a diving accident which left me a paraplegic and in a wheelchair for the rest of my life. I stayed in the hospital for two years and eight months.

God had other plans for me. In 2011 I was in the summer camp. On August 7, 2011, I trusted Christ for salvation, and on August 28 was baptized. That was the best choice of my life. In September of 2011 I started to study in the Bible Institute. I’m very happy to be here! This school is a big blessing for me! Now I have a reason to live, despite my handicap: to bring glory to God and share his Gospel & love with the world.

Diana Ataminuc

Former student Ion Ataminuc had a burden for his younger sisters to come to Christ and serve Him. He sent his sister Svetlana to the camp and then to the Institute. God worked mightily in her life and last May she graduated as one of our best young ladies. She served on the Sibarian evangelistic team back in June. Below is a testimony from their youngest sister, Diana, who is in her last year at the school.

In July 2009, my brother invited me to the evangelistic camp in Vatici [our central camp]. On Thursday I was challenged to repent from my sins and come to Christ. In spite of my Christian background, I was not saved. The Holy Spirit convicted me of my sin, and I accepted Christ.

From that night on, my life was changed. In the same year I heard about the Bible Institute. In the Institute I learned to trust God, and now I am a God-changed person. I thank God for the Chapman family working in Moldova.
