DROUGHT SITUATION IN MALAWI
I have spent the past week investigating the drought conditions of southern Malawi in areas where our churches are. In the Zomba/Blantyre area things are not too bad and the drought will mostly mean higher prices. But in other areas, the situation is much worse. Here are my findings. The Lake Chirwa region is the most severely impacted area of our churches near Zomba. I saw that most of the crops are already dying before producing a crop of corn or rice, their primary source

Plans for 2015
Dear Friends, This has been a busy month of ministry. We have had several guests looking at the ministry and participating in the work. We had multiple schools for our pastors this month in three locations. About 170 men attended the schools. Because of flooding in some regions of the country many could not come. The need of this significant number of men, almost all church planters or the result of church plantering, is the reason we need to finish our school building. All o

Summer Update and Fall Happenings
Stephanie and I arrived back in Moldova for the opening of our Bible school. I’ll be preaching and working with our men and students. Stephanie is teaching English in the school. We have 45 in our student body; 16 are new this year. We are excited about the new school year. Many of our students are going to the villages of Moldova with the Gospel. Camp in Moldova was a great success with many saved and touched with the Gospel. The Malawian day camps have just finished, and wh

Pastor Friday and Lower Shire of Malawi
I have spent most of this week in the Lower Shire with our day camp teams. It has just been a joy to watch the teams grow and become a powerful force for the spreading of the Gospel. In all of our day camps we have had an attendance of almost 22,000, with 5,400 teens and adults professing Christ. We still have several weeks to go, and we are very excited about what God is doing. I did not expect to be blessed with such great results the first year, but the teams are working a

Moldovan Camps and Malawian Day Camps
We have been very busy this summer preaching the Gospel in southern Malawi. We have a GREAT report for you about the effort. Our eight teams have preached to 13,218 persons with 3,121 professions of faith. We have not included the professions of faith of children and we have lots of children 5 to 10 attending; we are happy to expose them to the Gospel and the church. We will run day camps until mid September. We have had young Evangelist Micah Self here for three weeks and he

Malawi Day Camps & Moldovan Camps
We had a great week in Moldova this week. We ran three camp programs simultaneously. In the bigger central camp we had 211 campers this week and 195 accepted the Lord for salvation. Edward, our lead man there in Moldova, is becoming a very effective youth speaker. In the northern camp there were 109 campers for this first week of camp, and 61 professions of faith. Our day camps are running this year in western Moldova; in three villages this week 178 were present and 81 profe
Pastor's School
There is a great need for Biblical education of the pastors of the new churches in Malawi. We have held 5 day schools for small groups of pastors, but we do not have a facility large enough to bring them together for more concentration of teaching, nor a place to house them. We have started the pastor's dorm & school next to our Zomba church, but still need help. Please view the video to see what God is doing and what can be done. #pastorsschool #pastorsdorm #churchplanting #

Medical Clinic
Exciting News from Malawi: Last year Dr. Robert Marciano from South Dakota expressed an interest in helping our Malawian mission with a medical clinic. I had never heard of Dr. Marciano, but we were introduced over the phone by a mutual friend. I urged him to make a visit and view first hand the situation. On Doc’s first visit to Malawi, last August, we were of like mind: the great need is for a mobile clinic that would serve the poorest and most desperate remote villages. Ou
